(June 15, 2016) - France defeated Albania 2-0 in their second game of the group stage with goals from Atletico Madrid's star, Antoine Griezmann, and West Ham United's Dimitri Payet, who scored his 2nd late winner of the tournament. With this victory, France stays at the top of Group A with 6 points with Switzerland behind with 4 points.
A game that started with a shocking lineup by the French team with Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann starting from the bench with Kingsley Coman and Anthony Martial starting to give more speed from the sides.
Both goals came in the stoppage time of the 2nd half. First a header by Antoine Griezmann that came on from the bench to give France the victory. Just a few minutes later Dimitri Payet secured the win with another goal.
In the other game of the day, Switzerland and Romania draw with another great defensive performance by the Romanians who got their goal from another penalty kick shot by Bogdan Stancu. The Swizz pushed forward during the whole game eventually getting an equalizer in the second half from Admir Mehmedi.
