ST. PETERSBURG -- Shriners International along with Shriners Hospitals put together the 88th East-West Shrine Game for Saturday, Jan. 19 at 4:00 p.m.
The game will be televised on NFL network and will feature some of the top college seniors from across the country.
Heisman finalist Collin Klein from Kansas State if one of the quarterbacks on the roster for the East team, which will be coached by Jerry Glanville.
Also on the roster for the East team is Pittsburgh running back Ray Graham, as well as Purdue cornerback Josh Johnson.
Notable players on the roster from the state of Florida include University of Florida kicker Caleb Sturgis, as well as University of Miami cornerback Brandon McGee.
University of South Florida has two players representing it’s defense on Saturday afternoon with linebacker Sam Barrington and cornerback Kayvon Webster.
Webster may well be remembered for his 96 yard fumble return for a touchdown last year in USF’s season opening upset win over Notre Dame in South Bend.
The West roster includes Texas Tech quarterback Seth Doege and Ohio State cornerback Travis Howard.
Notre Dame safety Zeke Motta is on the defense for the West team, following the Fighting Irish’s national championship run.
Motta was a senior in the same defense as linebacker Manti Te’o has has been in the news quite a bit in the past few days.
The West team will be coached by Leeman Bennett.
