Predators Home Opener This Saturday
Mike Graham Media & Content Manager
Orlando- At the Orlando Predators Media Day Coach Doug Plank said, “You know that’s the beauty of Arena Football League though. You’re never as good as you think you are, you’re never as bad as you think you are because with a few bounces of the ball games swing either direction. There were games that I coached in where we were so far out-played and we still let the game run because the ball bounced off the bar, you know, the team fumbled it; crazy set of circumstances that allowed us to win the game. So that’s the element you have to deal with in Arena Football its not just about how well you play: you better make sure that you get a lead and get enough insurance because you have to almost schedule and plan for something to go wrong, which it usually does in each and every game. So, its still all our responsibly, it starts with the coaching staff. We have to put the bar at a high level. As far as the guarantee is concerned, I’m fine with the guarantee you know if you don’t try to achieve greatness then you’re never going to get there. You hit what you aim at: if you’re aiming low you’re going to hit low. This team wants to obviously win as many games that we can but we're also focusing on making a point of going out there and playing hard every game.” We will see if the Predators will come out fresh at home and turn around a 0-2 start in a tough match up against the Philadelphia Soul Saturday night at 7 at the Amway Center. |
