Preds Get Bigger Bite Out of Sharks in 58-48 Victory

Ovideo FL-The Orlando Predators faced the Jacksonville Sharks at CFE Arena on Thursday night. Four thousand seven hundred and eighty nine fans wherein attendance to support breast cancer night. The Predators face their division rival for win number eight of the season. The Jacksonville Sharks started off strong, scoring the games first points on their opening drive. Orlando would return the favor on a Michael Simons one yard run to tie the game with ten minutes left in the quarter. Jacksonville quarterback R.J. Archer would connect with his receivers for four touchdowns in the first half. |
Orlando quarterback Bernard Morris ended the first half on ten of twelve passes with one hundred and thirty six yards passing, throwing for two touchdowns and running for one on the ground. The first half's score was twenty eight to twenty seven with Orlando grabbing the lead just before halftime.
Orlando would dominate the third quarter with Morris connecting with receiver Greg Carr on a seven yard pass. Two minutes later Archer would connect with Wilson on a thirteen yard pass to bring the Sharks within one. After another Simons run, Orlando scored on a forty two yard pass from Morris to Gerald Young to put them up by fifteen to start the fourth quarter. Orlando would control the rest of the game, with their defense coming up big accumulating two scores during the game.
Orlando would win the game fifty eight to forty eight. The Predators face I-4 rival Tampa Bay next Saturday at the Tampa Bay Times Forum at 7:30P.M. This will be the team's last time playing this season. Orlando leads the series 2-0, as they go for their second sweep of a division opponents this year.
