(June 11, 2016) - Wales win their debut game in the Euro 2016 2-1 against Slovakia. Gareth Bale stars in Wales first ever game at the Euro Finals, with a free kick goal in the first half. With this victory, Wales takes the top of Group "B" with 3 points with England and Russia behind with 1 point.
Wales played an offensive match with Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey leading the attack with Jonathan Williams. The Welsh got the first goal in the 10th minute of the game thanks to a stunner free kick shot by Gareth Bale.
In the second half, Slovakia pushed forward and got the equalizing goal in the 61st minute of the game from Ondrej Duda, who scored just 30 seconds after coming in from the bench. That goal was going to wake up Wales, and Robson-Kanu scored the winner with 10 minutes to go from a great individual play by Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey.
Wales will play against England next Thursday, June 16, a derby between British nations that England is in need to win after their draw against Russia. Slovakia will play the day before, June 15, against Russia looking to get their first 3 points of the tournament.
