Orlando- Saturday night, the UCF Knights faced off against the Stetson University Hatters. Stetson trailed by 5 points at the half, but UCF prevailed in the second half with the final score being 77-58.
Stetson played well in the first half, shooting 50 percent from the field and 44 percent behind the arch. Brian Pegg led the team with 13 points and a team high 5 rebounds. Guards Raymone Andrews and Aaron Graham also scored in double digits, giving the Hatters 12 points each.
UCF out-rebounded Stetson 41-24. Forward Tristan Spurlock led the way for the Knights scoring 21 points and shooting 8 for 12 from the field. Guard Isaiah Sykes scored 17 points with 11 points coming from the second half. UCF also dominated the paint, scoring 44 points at the rim.
This is the Knights 14th- straight win over the Hatters. This gives the team a 4-3 record for the season. The Hatters are 1-10.
UCF hosts Howard on Wednesday at 7 pm.
