Coaches for Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make an impact on a disease that affects the entire world. From January 23rd until January 29th it is Suits and Sneakers week, which entails coaches wearing sneakers as a visible reminder about the seriousness of nutrition and physical activity and the impact that it can have in reducing cancer risk. You can find out more about the cause here.
The Golden Laces that are worn by the coaches can be purchased as Shoe Carnival, and proceeds benefit the non-profit initiative, Princess Lacey’s Legacy.
