Orlando FL- Wednesday night the Knights (10-14) were handed their 14th loss of the season at the hands of the No. 7 Cincinnati Bearcats (24-3).
By halftime UCF was down 40-18, as the offense struggled to get any rhythm going.
"We didn't play very well, but they had something to do with that." UCF Head Coach Donnie Jones expressed after the game.
In the 2nd half UCF would give up 21 point off turnovers, essentially making the game a no-contest as the Bearcats cruised to a 77-49 victory.
Guard Sean Kilpatrick lead the way for the Bearcats scoring 23 points, with 18 of those points coming from 3-pointers as Kilpatrick moved into second place on the school's career scoring list.
The Knights were led by Senior guard Isaiah Sykes, who ended the game with a double-double scoring 13 points and gathering 10 rebounds.
This was the Knights 10th loss in 11 games with their lone victory during that time span coming against USF last Saturday.
UCF looks to get things back on track when they head to Houston (12-14) to take on the Cougars at the Hofeinz Pavilion, tip-off is set for 2pm on ESPNW.
Cincinnati will head head back home to prepare for No. 11 Louisville (22-4) who they will face this Saturday Feb. 22, at 12 pm at Fifth Third Arena, as they look to continue their run to the NCAA Tournament. The game will air on CBS.
