Larin's goal came early on in the match, in the 4th minute which gave Orlando City SC the lead 1-0.
Chicago Fire was awarded the first corner of the game in the 9th minute, but was denied that goal opportunity with the quick save from the Lions keeper. The Corner battle was won in the first half by Orlando City SC 5 to Chicago’s 2.
It was then in the 14th minute that Chicago’s Fire ignited as David Accam broke free and took advantage of a one-on-one opportunity where he netted a goal in the bottom right corner, which tied the game 1-1.
Despite the Lions 6 corners and Chicago Fire’s 2, a goal did not get pass either keeper of the teams. Close goals continued to shock the crowd as the time raised minute by minute.
In the 32nd minute, Chicago Fire's Michael Harrington was sent off with a red card. This gave the Lions a one-man advantage. However, Orlando City SC was not able to capitalize before the first half came to an end.
Coming into the second half the Fire looked to spread the ball around taking 10 shots with only 2 on target. Where the Lions roared with 13 shot attempts, but only 4 were on target.
The battle in search for both teams next goal continued and was not found as time ran out leaving Orlando City SC in another tie, this time with Chicago Fire 1-1.
Cyle Larin scored his 2nd goal of the season in as many games as the Orlando City SC Lions drew with the Chicago Fire at the Orlando Citrus bowl on Friday evening.
Orlando City SC now looks for their first win this Friday when they play New York City FC (7 pm et, UniMas) at Yankee stadium.
