The Lions will face Western Conference rivals Real Salt Lake in the Orlando Citrus Bowl at 2 p.m.
While all 18,000 season tickets for Orlando City’s 2016 campaign are sold out, fans can still secure their seat to the home opener by purchasing the Holiday Two-Pack ticket, which includes admission to the Orlando Pride National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team opener as well. To celebrate the launch of the 2016 season, Orlando City will once again host a week of fan activities throughout Orlando including:

- Purple Pride 5k on Mar. 3
- Orlando City Pub Crawl on Mar. 5
“2016 is shaping up to be an exciting season and we’re thrilled to have our first match scheduled at home,” said Founder and President Phil Rawlins. “Last year’s season opener was record-breaking, and we’re planning for another thrilling start to the Lions’ campaign this year in front of our wonderful fans, with several opening week festivities and events.”
“We’re looking forward to facing Real Salt Lake in our season opener for 2016,” said Head Coach Adrian Heath. “The squad will be ready to go and eager to hit the pitch again as we build upon the winning form from the end of last season in pursuit of a playoff spot in 2016.”

From 2011 to 2014, Orlando City set the U.S. record for best start of any professional soccer club in its first 100 USL matches (66-12-22), winning three regular season titles and two postseason championships.
