Orlando City earned a strong 4-1 victory over the Charlotte Eagles in its most recent match, after going scoreless in the previous two fixtures against Sacramento and Rochester. The win over Charlotte featured goals from Dennis Chin, Tyler Turner and Kevin Molino, as Orlando clinched the league’s first playoff berth. Molino’s brace re-entered the Trinidadian into the scoring race, placing him one goal behind Richmond’s Matthew Delicate who leads the league with 14.
Saturday’s match-up marks the first meeting between both sides in 2014. Throughout the past three seasons, Orlando City has never lost a game against the City Islanders, holding a 6-0-1 record against the Pennsylvania based club.
However, Manger Adrian Heath will be without two of the Lions’ key starters on Saturday. Darwin Cerén and Luke Boden are both serving a one-game suspension for picking up their fifth yellow cards of the season.
Sitting in seventh place, Harrisburg has dropped three points only one time in its last seven contests. The City Islanders are currently riding a three game win streak, securing victories against LA Galaxy II, the Dayton Dutch Lions and the New York Red Bulls Reserves. Pedro Ribeiro provided a brace in the Islander’s recent 3-1 win over New York. Harrisburg’s 33 goals scored on the season is the fourth highest in USL PRO. Forward Morgan Langley leads the team in points with five goals and six assists.
