The NC State Wolfpack (1-1) face off against the Furman Paladins (0-2) in Raleigh, North Carolina Saturday afternoon. The game will be broadcasted on the ACC Network. Furman brings its triple option offense to Carter-Finley Stadium as they look to upset the Wolfpack. NC State will look to get off to a better start this week as they've been outscored 24-17 in the first quarter this year. The Wolfpack secondary will have to step up this week as injuries have started to pile up on this young season. Nickelback Freddie Phillips Jr, cornerback James Valdez, and safety Dexter Wright won't be playing this week. Phillips Jr. and Valdez are gone for the season. The good news is that cornerback Mike Stevens is available if needed after missing the first two games.
On the other side of the ball, quarterback Ryan Finley has completed 74 percent of his passes for 756 yards and five touchdowns. Going back to the previous season, Finley has thrown 165 consecutive passes without an interception which is the second longest streak in the nation.
