Kvistad, a 2016 first team selection, makes her second appearance on a CoSIDA Academic All-American team and is the first Gator selected in back-to-back years since Michelle Moultrie (2011 & 2012). The Lake City, Fla. native holds a 3.77 GPA in Communication Sciences & Disorders.
This is Barnhill’s first CoSIDA Academic All-American award of her career. The Marietta, Ga. native holds a 3.93 GPA in Public Relations with plans to double major in Economics.
A total of 10 players have earned 16 CoSIDA Academic All-American awards under head coach Tim Walton.
“I am super proud of Kayli and Kelly for their continued drive to be great both on and off the field.” Walton said. “To coach an Academic All-American is one of the most special things to do as a coach. It’s one of the hardest awards to achieve in all of collegiate athletics – to be great in the classroom and on the field is a very rare talent.”
