The Tampa Bay Lightning come into this game having already played Friday night against Minnesota Wild which they lost 2-1 in a shootout. The Jets have lost three games in a row to the Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild, and the Chicago Blackhawks. Both teams are desperately trying to gain as many points to make a playoff spot and Saturday will show us which team wants it more!
Who wants it more is the big question? Two big points on the line for both teams that are on life support. Catch the Bolts vs. Jets Saturday night at 7:00 pm on Sunshine Sports!
- Who’s hot for the Bolts? The line that you need to look at that will be dangerous when they face the Jets Saturday, is the fourth line for Tampa Bay. The fourth line has been dominating the last couple of games and tonight will be a big test if the fourth line can keep contributing towards the team. Because, in this position of the season their season is on life support and every point matters for them making a run for the playoffs. Expect the fourth line for Tampa Bay to be crucial part of the game when they face the Jets Saturday .
- Bolts the New Ryan Callahan? Everyone is talking about what a fantastic young player can bring to the table at only 26 years old, and he is kicking big time butt in the NHL. His name is Gabriel Dumont! This kid will score big goals when needed, he will get in your face, he will not give up, and he will fight for you as a fan and for his team! He belongs on this team, and he has proven he deserves to be on this team.
- Who’s hot for the Jets? At only 18 years old Patrick Lanie has turned into a superstar in his first season in the NHL. This amazing player has 23 goals in his first season and is second in all rookies in the NHL for goal scoring. Without a doubt, Lanie will be in consideration for being a finalist for the Calder Memorial Trophy. Lookout for Lanie on the ice when they face the Bolts!
- Jets Big Dustin Byfuglien! Byfuglien is a big time physical defensemen that loves to play the game with determination and loves to hit. He has incredible vision and can see the ice perfectly! He is a Stanley Cup Champion, so he knows how to play as a champion. If you are the Bolts in this situation watch out for Byfuglien's big-time slap shot because he can bomb it from the top of the blue line into the back of the net. Words of advice to the Bolts watch out and keep both eyes open.
- WAKE UP CALL! For both teams, Saturday is the time to act on it and start to push for the playoffs. Both teams are sitting outside the playoff picture, and the window of opportunity keeps getting smaller and smaller as time progresses. The Bots need to come in Saturday’s game and play hard but play a safe 60-minute game from start to finish with no bad plays that will cost them the game. As for the Jets, their defense needs to step up. It has cost them on so many plays, not knowing where they are on the ice and so many miss communication plays that hurts them. However, Saturday vs. the Bolts they need to play much better than the previous games.
