PROVIDENCE, R.I. – IMG College has announced that Josh Reese will serve as general manager for IMG’s American Athletic Conference properties. IMG is the multimedia rights holder for The American.
“I look forward to working with Josh as we continue to grow our conference sponsorships program and our brand,” American Athletic Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco said. “His marketing expertise and his familiarity with our league and our schools will be great assets in helping identify potential sponsors who would be interested in partnering with The American.”
Reese joined IMG College in August 2015 as senior account executive for UConn IMG Sports Marketing. Prior to joining IMG, he served as Executive Director/CEO for Hartford Camp Courant (Connecticut) for nearly three years and helped revitalize the oldest and largest free summer program in the country that serves more than 1,100 children in the Hartford area during the summer.
A resident of Hartford and native of New Britain, he was named to the Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in July 2013. From 2001-11 he worked at his alma mater, Northwest Catholic in West Hartford. He began his career with the school as a social studies teacher and later moved into the role of director of athletics and advancement officer.
IMG is the nation’s leading collegiate sports marketing program, offering national, regional and local multi-platform marketing opportunities targeting 190 million college sports fans – the largest and most attractive fan base in the country.
