This week's biggest dud win was Michigan State's win over Michigan. To win because of a bad snap does not reflect in the polls but surely needs to be accounted for. The Spartans were beaten by Big Blue until the fumbled punt snap was returned for a touchdown as time expired to keep Michigan State unbeaten.
This week's breakout performance has to go to Iowa. After beating up on No. 20 Northwestern 40-10, it's clear that the unbeaten Hawkeyes are a team to be reckoned with in the Big Ten. They are the clear favorite to represent the West conference in the big Ten title game come December.
This week's "PollBuster" was Memphis. They defeated Ole Miss to remain undefeated on the season. If the Tigers can remain unbeaten for the rest of the year, they are a lock for a New Years Bowl, but there is still a long season ahead. They still have tough road games at the end of the year against Houston and Temple that could be stumbling blocks. If they survive that, they will have to win the inaugural American Conference Championship Game.
