Atlanta, GA - Week 2 of the Xfinity Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Rinnai 250 wrapped up Saturday with Kyle Busch taking the Checkered flag after leading just 26 of the 163 laps of the race.
After starting second, Busch quickly took the lead and led the first seven laps of the contest before the pole sitter Brad Keselowski took the lead back. Keselowski would lead all the way through the first stage of the race.
During the caution break in between stages, Kevin Harvick led for one lap before Keselowski went back out in front after pit stop rotations. He would lead until lap 61 where Harvick was able to overtake lead and capture the stage two victory.
Harvick led throughout much of the rest of the race until the 4th caution of the day came out on lap 119 for a spinout by Denny Hamlin in the #20 Hisense Toyota in turn one, ending up in the grass.
Harvick would maintain the lead through pit stop rotations and the restart on lap 124. However, after that Kyle Larson in the #42 Jacob Companies Chevrolet was able to over take the lead from Harvick. Larson would lead through lap 144. That is when “Rowdy” came back to regain the lead. Busch would lead throughout the rest of the race as he took the checkered flag for the victory.
The win marks the 87th career Xfinity Series Victory for Kyle Busch. The next race in the Xfinity Series will be on March 11th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the Boyd Gaming 300.
