Charlotte, NC - Justin Allgaier shocked everyone by putting his #7 Chevrolet on the Pole for the Xfinity Series Hisense 4K TV 300. Allgaier was 8th in round 1, 4th in round 2, and took the Pole in the final round when it mattered.
Add Brad Keselowski to the list of drivers who have missed qualifying this year due to not passing tech inspection. His car had go through tech more than 5 times and it still had not passed. Keselowski will start from row 20 in the 39th position. The fastest man in practice for the Xfinity series, William Byron #9, was knocked out in the 2nd round after Elliot Sadler #1 ran a lap at the very end of the session putting Sadler into the top 12 run for the pole. Byron will start 13th with a very fast racecar.
There was only one slight incident in qualifying as the #24 of Cale Conley spun coming off turn 4 in round 1. Conley qualified 32nd. Drivers doing double duty in the Monster Energy Cup Series and the Xfinity Series are scattered throughout the field: Brad Keselowski in 39th, Casey Mears in 25th, JJ Yeley in 24th, Ty Dillion in 15th, Denny Hamlin in 8th, Kevin Harvick in 5th, Ryan Blaney in 3rd, and Austin Dillion starting 2nd. Will it be a Monster Energy Driver taking the win or will an Xfinity Series regular take the win? Tune in at 1:00 pm and follow @NASCAR_Skyboat on Twitter for live updates.
