(June 4, 2016) – Brazil and Ecuador both got a point for today’s draw in Pasadena after an exciting game with a lot of chances for both teams. Brazil looked like the usual skillful team but with a vulnerable defense, the difference of level between the Brazilian players affected the “Canarinha’s” game with Coutinho, Willian and Casemiro performing and Renato Augusto, Gil, and Elias with a bad match. Ecuador had a great game in general of what to expect for this team, they created several chances thanks to the speed of both Jeff Montero and Antonio Valencia, but unfortunately, they could not; find Enner Valencia to get the goal that they needed. The game could have been an Ecuador win after a controversial play where Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson put the ball in his net after a soft cross by Miler Bolaños, but the goal was disallowed because the ball was outside of the field already.
With this point, Peru stays on top of the Group “B” with Brazil and Ecuador following with a point and Haiti in the back with no points. Brazil will travel to Orlando next Wednesday, June 8, to play against Haiti at Camping World Stadium, while Ecuador will travel to Glendale to play against Peru on the same Day.
