Atlanta, GA- At the end of the first quarter of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, a young star with style and flair stole the show. No, it wasn’t Alabama true-freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts. Instead the crowd was wowed by 13-year-old singer Andi Jones in between quarters.
Andi, who goes by the stage name “AKJ”, took center stage and performed in front of a packed house of 75,000 supportive college football fans, thanks to Make A Wish Georgia and Chick-Fil-A.
In 2012, the brave and talented singer was diagnosed with ciliary dyskinesia, a genetic disorder that causes chronic, and sometimes life-threatening, respiratory issues. Despite her illness, Andi, holds on to big dreams. Her biggest is to become a famous singer.
Her crowd pleasing performance was just the first step. Thanks to Make A Wish Georgia, “AKJ” is on a journey to fulfil her ultimate wish of performing a full concert.
