TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired quarterback Sammuel Lamur, announced vice president of football operations Jeff Gooch.
“Sammuel is a quarterback that we believe has a lot of potential,” said Gooch. “We feel that he will be able to step into a game at any time should his number be called.”
Lamur (6-foot-5, 226 lbs., Kansas State) joins the Storm for his rookie season in the Arena Football League. The West Palm Beach native began his collegiate career at Joliet Junior College before transferring to Kansas State University. Lamur appeared in 15 games for the Wildcats. He completed 9-of-11 passes for 80 yards and rushed nine times for 37 yards and a touchdown.
The team reassigned quarterback Brendan Crawford. Crawford (6-foot-5, 205 lbs., Langston) appeared in two games for the Storm.
The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm enters its 27th season in the Arena Football League. The Storm will host “Local Heroes Night,” Saturday, June 21 when it takes on the Orlando Predators, on AMALIE Motor Oil Field at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
