NFL Journeyman OL Nevin McCaskill Joins Storm
TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm is pleased to announce that offensive lineman Nevin McCaskill has joined the team. “Nevin is a guy that brings a lot of grit and size to the position,” said head coach Dave Ewart. “He has experience the will help us out, we look forward to seeing his leadership in camp.” McCaskill (6-foot-4, 315 lbs., Hampton) began his football career with the Buffalo Bills in 2007 as an undrafted rookie free agent. National Football League season he has spent time on either the active roster or practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins.
In college, he appeared in 46 games with the Pirates with 36 starts and earned All- MEAC honors his junior and senior seasons. The former Amos P. Godby H.S. (Tallahassee, FL) standout has twin brothers, Kevin and Keith, that both played for the University of South Florida Bulls.
The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm was awarded the 2012 AFL Support Staff of the Year. The 2013 season kicks off at home Saturday, March 23 at 7:30 PM versus South Division rival Jacksonville Sharks.
